I will wager that you recognise at least
one of the following. Try, St. Moritz, Celerina, Silvaplana and
Pontresina, plus a few others dotted about the landscape and included
on one very useful lift pass. The name St. Moritz has a worldwide
reputation, and it deserves it. However the other players in this
league are better than your average ski resort in their own right.
Together they present a tremendous delight of skiing possibilities.
In St. Moritz, for example, the
Corviglia ski area directly above the glitzy town presents
enough skiing to satisfy most skiers for an entire
week. |
Consider if you will that lifts and mountain trains leaving
from both St. Moritz Dorf and St. Moritz Bad (that is how the
village is divided), can whisk skiers to enjoy world class
skiing and world class scenery, on an incredibly varied and
huge skiers playground.
However, if you were to limit yourself to
these slopes, you would not be getting full
value of either your lift pass or your
holiday. There's a big, wide, wonderful ski world out there. At
Silvaplana for example the Corvatsch ski area is the main draw. Here
skiing is primarily suited to more experienced skiers, as a lot of the
selection here requires skill and experience.
