In Zermat Switzerland both visitors and locals demand snowy streets. Whaddya make of that? Most folks want their streets squeaky clean during the winter months. Prevents slippin' and slidin' you know. However this is not the case in the Matterhorn dominated resort of Zermatt. It seems that Zermatt's powers that be cleaned the entire car-free Zermatt pedistrian area in order to prevent the above slides and their results; falls and civil suits. However this agressive cleaning of the streets, no matter how good the result (no falls no legal worries)did not sit well with either tourists or locals. They want snow-covered walkways in the car-free village. Seems all concerned prefer the magical Matterhorn resort snow covered. Fall anyone?
