The Hannig, our non-skiing mountain, is very popular for those who like
winter walking. About 30 km of good prepared winter walking trails invite you to
see the village from a different view. The trails from Melchboden and to
Saas-Almagell offer you a nice forest walk.

you to have a funny ride back to the village.

The cross country skier will find ambitious circuits, which are longer than 8
km and are taking over 154 high meters. The Saastal circuits from 26 km between
Saas-Almagell and Saas-Balen is simple to reach with public transports and is an
experience for every cross country skier.

The mountaineering school Mountai- Life creates every year an attractive
touring program. Beginners and advanced can choose in the daily program the tour
which fits them the best in this paradise of skitouring in the high mountains.

We strike the torches and walk on a winterwalk path through the snowy forest to a restaurant, where we warm up with a fine typical swiss meal. It is possible to walk to the mountain hut by snow shoes.
