If you have never been to
Switzerland, that small, landlocked country in the center of Europe you are in for
a real treat. If you have, you are still in for a real treat, the only difference
is-you already know it.
You
will most likely arrive in Zurich, or possibly, Geneva. The treat starts in either
one of these great, clean, cities. Zurich in fact is enjoying a renaissance of
sorts as a “with it” city for young visitors. With an abundance of sidewalk
cafes, great restaurants and bars, it is indeed a great jumping off point.
Oh yes, it has a lake too, just to make your delight meter reach the top scale.
Geneva too has the lake that bears it’s name (locals call it Lac Leman) and that
city too is a “cool” destination.
But let’s face it, they’re cities, and I am willing to bet that that’s what
most of you are escaping from. Well as I said you are in for a treat, escape your
head off.
Once out of the cities a-dare I say magical-
country awaits. Lakes and mountains abound. And some of the best and
nicest small villages in Europe are as close as your train or rental car.
Switzerland is not a big country in the geographical scheme of things, so you
can see a lot in a short time. And all of those ski resorts that are so full and
snow covered during the winter months are as green as, Switzerland in summer. This is a great time to visit Switzerland value wise as
well.
Beat the crowds, save some money and enjoy. Switzerland in
summer has everything except an ocean. Go for it.
