Adelboden/Lenk-fun for family

Here in Adelboden being family friendly is not just a hackneyed phrase - families and children are really thoroughly welcome. The family friendliness of Adelboden has been rewarded with the quality-award “Familien willkommen”. Only a few Swiss resorts fulfill the hard criteria, that was worked out by the Federal Tourism Association. We would like to give you an insight into some of our extensive offer with the following notices.

Adlis Winter Games Garden
Up on Hahnenmoos there is a spacious playing area for children of 6 and over. It comes complete with igloos, a snowman village, a snow slide, mini ski-lifts, a tyre slide, a skiing roundabout, climbing apparatus and waiting area, all of which will be supervised by qualified child-minders. This amenity can be used with or without parents on a daily or hourly basis.

Winter rambling
In the vicinity of the village there are some 40 kilometres of prepared paths at altitude, and we offer varying degrees of exertion ranging from short walks to an all-day hike.

Tobogganing
New! Tschentenegg-Möser run:
1,5 km, catch the chairlift back
Sillerenbhl-Bergläger run:
5 km, daily from 3:30 pm.
Hohlieba run:
Accessible from Oey in about an hour walking distance. Watch out for on coming vehicles!
You will find places to use your toboggans all around the village, using the practice lifts.

Snowtubing
Big fun for the whole family on Engstligenalp.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides
Robert Dänzer and his drivers will be glad to drive you along delightful scenic routes around Adelboden. Pick-up point by the church.

Between 4 and 6 sledges are hitched to each horse, with 2-3 people on each sledge.

Ice skating
Ice skating is a delight for the entire family. Our rink looks out across breathtaking mountain scenery. It doesn't matter if anyone is a little wobbly on their legs!

Nursery for guests’ children
Parents may enjoy a quiet day skiing, our kindergarten teacher Vera will take care of the children (3 to 6 years, under 3 years on request). As well as from games and handicraft work in the nursery, other activities such as building snowmen and going tobogganing, are also in the programme.

Children’s ski school
Children are able to discover the joys of winter sports at the ski school, or improve skills already achieved. The high spot of the week is the children’s skiing competition.
